WEBSITE DESIGN
Questions about planning and building a website.
How much does a new website cost?
The cost depends on the size, functionality, content, integrations and amount of bespoke design required. After discussing the project, we provide a clear proposal setting out the scope and cost.
How long does it take to build a website?
A typical business website may take several weeks, while larger or more complex projects take longer. The availability of content, feedback and third-party integrations also affects the schedule.
Will I be able to edit the website myself?
Yes. We build with WordPress and Divi, giving you control over everyday content. We can also continue managing changes if you would rather not edit it yourself.
Will the website work on mobile phones?
Yes. Pages are designed responsively so they adapt across desktop computers, tablets and mobile devices.
Can you rewrite or improve our website content?
Yes. We can draft, rewrite and structure content around your services, customers and search priorities, with your team reviewing it before publication.
Do you build ecommerce and booking websites?
Yes. We can create online shops, booking journeys, quote systems, payment integrations and other tailored functionality where it suits the project.
BRANDING & LOGO DESIGN
Questions about creating or refreshing your identity.
What is included in a branding project?
The scope may include positioning, logo design, colours, typography, supporting graphics and guidance for applying the identity consistently. We tailor it to what the business actually needs.
Can you refresh our existing logo without replacing everything?
Yes. Sometimes an identity needs careful refinement rather than a complete restart. We will assess what is worth retaining and where improvements are needed.
What logo files will we receive?
Final packages normally include suitable variations and formats for websites, social media, office documents, professional printing, signage and other agreed applications.
Can you apply the branding to our website and printed materials?
Yes. Jigsaw can carry the identity across websites, stationery, brochures, signage, clothing, vehicles and digital marketing.
SEO & DIGITAL MARKETING
Questions about visibility, traffic and ongoing marketing.
How long does SEO take to work?
SEO is an ongoing process rather than an instant switch. Some improvements can appear relatively quickly, but competitive searches usually require sustained technical, content and authority work.
Can you guarantee first place on Google?
No. Search rankings are controlled by Google and affected by competitors, location, search intent and many other factors. We focus on sound work, useful reporting and commercially relevant progress.
Do you manage Google Ads and paid campaigns?
Yes. Paid campaigns can be planned and managed alongside landing pages, conversion tracking and follow-up, depending on your goals and budget.
Will you report on what the marketing produces?
Yes. Reporting should connect activity to meaningful outcomes such as relevant traffic, enquiries, appointments and sales opportunities—not simply surface-level numbers.
AI & BUSINESS AUTOMATION
Questions about using AI practically and responsibly.
What can AI and automation do for a small or established business?
It can help respond to enquiries, qualify leads, organise follow-up, book appointments, update CRM records, request reviews, reactivate old contacts and reduce repetitive administration.
Do we need to replace our existing systems?
Not necessarily. We first look at what you already use and whether it can be connected or improved. Replacing software only makes sense when the benefit justifies the disruption.
Will automation make customer communication feel robotic?
Poor automation can. Good automation uses appropriate timing, natural language and clear routes to a person. The aim is to improve responsiveness without removing the human relationship.
Can you demonstrate the system before we commit?
Where practical, we can show working examples and explain the proposed customer journey, triggers and actions before a full implementation.
How is customer data handled?
Any solution should be designed around appropriate access, data minimisation, supplier terms and UK data-protection responsibilities. The exact requirements depend on the tools and information involved.
WEBSITE HOSTING & SUPPORT
Questions about keeping websites secure and working.
Do you provide managed WordPress hosting?
Yes. Jigsaw offers managed WordPress hosting and can combine it with updates, backups, security monitoring and ongoing support.
Can you move our existing website to your hosting?
Usually, yes. We first check the website, domain settings, email arrangements and technical requirements before planning the migration.
What happens if the website goes down?
We investigate whether the cause is hosting, WordPress, a plugin, an integration or another connected service, then explain the appropriate next step.
Are website changes included with hosting?
Hosting and content changes are different services. Some support arrangements include an allowance, while larger changes are quoted separately. Your plan will state what is covered.
Do you support domains and business email?
Yes, where those services are managed through Jigsaw. We can also assist with common DNS, SSL and mailbox issues.
WORKING WITH JIGSAW
Questions about communication, ownership and getting started.
Where is Jigsaw based?
Jigsaw Design Studio is based in Hazlemere, High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, and works with businesses locally and across the UK.
Who will manage our project?
You will work with people who understand the brief and the decisions behind it. We keep communication direct and explain technical matters in plain English.
Do you work with new businesses or only established companies?
We work with both, although much of our work is for established businesses that have outgrown their current brand, website or systems.
Who owns the finished website and branding?
Ownership and any third-party licensing are explained in the proposal and terms. Once the agreed project fees are paid, clients receive the agreed final deliverables.
